Our Loved & Supported Charities

This new approach allows us to:

• Highlight more Airdrie-focused charities
• Strengthen our connection with the community
• Ensure funds raised continue to support those who live and work here

Please feel free to share this post, tag eligible charities, and help us spread the word. We can’t wait to see the incredible work happening across our community.

💙 Together, we can do even more — right here in Airdrie.

BIG NEWS:
We’re opening the door to YOU 💙

For years, we’ve been proud to support two incredible organizations making a real difference right here at home:
👉 Airdrie Food Bank
👉 BGC of Airdrie

That isn’t changing.

What is changing is how we grow from here.

This year, we’re creating space to support additional charities — and instead of deciding behind closed doors, we want to hear directly from our community.

Do you know a REGISTERED charity that is based in Airdrie or provides primary services to Airdrie residents?
Is there a cause close to your heart that’s doing meaningful work locally?

You can submit a nomination yourself, or simply share the form directly with the charity and have them complete it on their own.
To ensure transparency and accountability, only registered charities will be considered (not-for-profits that are not registered charities do not qualify). Our goal is to keep fundraising dollars right here in the Airdrie community.

  • Nathan O'Brien Foundation

    Nathan O'Brien Foundation

The Nathan O'Brien Children's Foundation was established to provide a helping hand to disadvantaged children. Our privately funded foundation supports children's charities through grants in honor of our son Nathan Kenneth O'Brien.

Our foundation is committed to honouring the memory of Nathan O'Brien and his legacy of compassion and kindness by helping improve the lives of children giving them the opportunity to live, hope and pursue their dreams.

  • Airdrie Food Bank

    Airdrie Food Bank

The Airdrie Food Bank, established in March 1984, is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis. Our mission is to collect and distribute food to those in need and help our community find solutions to hunger related issues.

Through a number of programs including our Hamper, Pantry and Fuel 4 Kids School programs, we are able to provide supports to our neighbours in need all because of the generosity and dedication from our community.

  • Boys & Girls Club of Airdrie

Boys & Girls Club of Airdrie

Since 1979, The Boys and Girls Club has been a safe and fun space, providing high quality affordable programs and services that are accessible to all children, youth and families of Airdrie and surrounding areas. With two main locations in Airdrie, a club in Irricana, and before and after school programs at three participating Airdrie schools, the Airdrie Boys and Girls club has grown to extend our reach throughout our community.

Part of the national Non-Profit Boys and Girls Club Canada, Airdrie Boys and Girls Club is governed by a board of directors and comprised of both staff and volunteers. Funding is comprised of funds raised by sponsors, donations, grants and government funding.
